Which fits you?

When Moove fits better

  • You want people to pay you at an @handle, on whichever network they hold money.
  • You swap or bridge often and want one flat 0.02% fee rather than a fee that depends on the route.
  • You hold or receive money on Tron, which Coinbase Wallet doesn’t list.

When Coinbase Wallet fits better

  • You already have a Coinbase.com account and want to move money between it and your own wallet.
  • You want a browser extension to connect to apps on your computer.
  • You’d rather sign in with a passkey than keep a recovery phrase.

Questions about Moove and Coinbase Wallet.

Is Coinbase Wallet the same app as Base app?

Yes. Coinbase renamed its non-custodial wallet Base app in July 2025, then renamed it back to Coinbase Wallet in September 2026.

Is Moove cheaper than Coinbase Wallet to swap?

Moove charges 0.02% to swap or bridge, plus network fees. Coinbase Wallet charges up to 1% on swaps, plus aggregator and network fees, and a Coinbase fee when bridging to networks other than Base.

Do I need to verify my identity?

Not to hold, send or swap in either wallet. Moove asks for an identity check only for Moove Ramp; Coinbase Wallet’s Coinbase.com route asks for one, and third-party providers set their own checks.

Can I pay someone by name instead of an address?

Yes, in both. Coinbase Wallet sends to ENS names, Basenames and web3 usernames. Moove sends to an @handle, which takes payment on any network Moove supports and settles to the wallet its owner chose.
