About the Role

We're looking for a Backend Engineer to build and scale the core infrastructure powering moove.xyz, a global Web3 fintech platform designed for permissionless and effortless value movement. This role is central to how transactions are processed, routed, settled, and secured across blockchains. As a Backend Engineer, you'll design and maintain the systems that enable crypto payments, cross‑chain transfers, and non‑custodial financial services at global scale.

This role is critical to moove.xyz's growth because reliability, security, and performance are fundamental to trust in financial infrastructure. Your work will directly impact transaction speed, system uptime, scalability, and the ability for businesses and users to move digital value across borders seamlessly. From building APIs and payment workflows to handling blockchain integrations and data pipelines, your contributions will underpin every user action on the platform.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs for moove.xyz products
• Develop high‑performance services supporting crypto payments, cross‑chain transactions, and settlement flows
• Integrate with blockchain networks, wallets, and third‑party services
• Ensure system reliability, security, and performance under increasing transaction volume
• Work closely with frontend, blockchain, and product teams to deliver end‑to‑end features
• Build and maintain databases, messaging systems, and background workers
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for production systems
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical decision‑making

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience building backend systems using modern languages and frameworks (e.g. Node.js, Go, Python, Java, or similar)
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful or event‑driven APIs
• Familiarity with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), caching, and queue systems
• Solid understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimisation
• Strong focus on security, reliability, and fault tolerance
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, product‑driven environment
• Interest in Web3, crypto, and fintech (hands‑on blockchain experience is a strong plus)
• Experience with payments, DeFi, or financial systems is a bonus but not required
