What is a Moove Handle?
A Moove Handle is your @name on Moove. It replaces a wallet address wherever you get paid: people can pay you at moove.xyz/@yourname, type your handle into Moove Send, or find you by searching. Behind it sit one or more wallets you control, and payments settle to your default wallet in the token you chose. Every account has one handle, and each handle has a single holder.
How do I get paid with a username instead of a wallet address?
Claim a handle, then share it. Your handle opens your Moove Profile, a personal payment page anyone can pay you from by connecting their own wallet and entering an amount. They do not need a Moove account. Whatever token or network they pay with converts on the way, so it reaches your wallet in the token you set, such as USDC.
Is a Moove Handle the same as a Moove Profile?
They work together. The handle is the identifier, @yourname. The Moove Profile is the page that handle opens at moove.xyz/@yourname, with your username, bio, photo, links and a way to pay you. You can edit your profile on the web or in the Moove App, and your handle is what people type, search for and share.
What can my handle contain?
Between 3 and 63 characters, using lowercase letters, numbers and underscores. Spaces, full stops, hyphens and other symbols are not allowed. Handles are unique across Moove and claimed first come, first served, and the sign-up form tells you straight away if the one you want is taken. Your display name is separate and has looser rules.
Can I change my handle later?
Yes, in your account settings on the web or in the Moove App, once every 7 days. Changing it releases your old handle for anyone to claim, and any link, invoice or bio that uses it stops pointing to you. If you plan to rename, do it before you share your handle widely.
Do people need a Moove account to pay my handle?
No. Anyone can open your profile page, connect the wallet they already use and pay you, with no Moove sign-up. People who do use Moove can also send to @yourname from Moove Send on the web or in the Moove App, and both sides then see names rather than addresses in their history.
How much does it cost to get paid with a Moove Handle?
Claiming a handle is free. A payment in the same token on the same network carries no Moove fee. If a payment converts across tokens or networks, a flat 0.02% comes out of what you receive. To receive an exact figure, send a payment link and the payer covers it. Network fees are separate.
Does Moove hold my money when someone pays my handle?
No. Moove is non-custodial. Your handle points at wallets only you control, and payments settle straight into your default wallet. There is no Moove balance to withdraw from, and Moove cannot move or freeze what lands there. Your keys stay on your device, or in the wallet app you connected.
