About the Role

We're looking for a Payments Engineer to design, build, and scale the infrastructure that connects traditional financial systems with Web3 and stablecoin payments at moove.xyz. This role sits at the intersection of fiat payments and blockchain technology, enabling users and businesses to move value seamlessly between bank rails, cards, and on‑chain ecosystems. As a Payments Engineer, you'll help power the real‑world adoption of crypto by making fiat‑to‑crypto interactions simple, reliable, and compliant.

This role is critical to moove.xyz's growth because payments are the primary on‑ramp to Web3 adoption. Your work will directly impact how users fund their wallets, receive fiat and stablecoin payments, and spend digital assets through card issuing and payment rails. From building fiat on‑ramps and off‑ramps to integrating card networks and payment processors, your systems will enable moove.xyz to serve global users, SMEs, freelancers, and creators at scale.

What You'll Do

• Design and build fiat‑to‑crypto and crypto‑to‑fiat payment rails
• Integrate with payment processors, banking partners, card networks, and payment APIs
• Develop systems for card issuing, card payments, and settlement flows
• Enable seamless conversion between fiat currencies and stablecoins (e.g. USDC, USDT)
• Work closely with backend, blockchain, and product teams on end‑to‑end payment experiences
• Ensure payment systems are secure, reliable, scalable, and compliant across regions
• Handle reconciliation, settlement, and transaction monitoring processes
• Participate in architecture design, code reviews, and technical decision‑making

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience building payment systems or fintech infrastructure
• Hands‑on experience with fiat payment rails, banking APIs, or card‑based systems
• Solid backend engineering skills with modern languages and frameworks
• Understanding of payment flows, settlement, reconciliation, and risk controls
• Familiarity with stablecoins, crypto payments, or blockchain integrations is a strong plus
• Experience working with regulated financial systems or compliance requirements is advantageous
• Strong systems‑thinking mindset with attention to security and reliability
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, product‑driven environment
