Can I save in dollars?
Yes. Add Hong Kong dollars, and hold USDC or USDT in a wallet only you control. They follow the US dollar, and you can’t cash out to Hong Kong dollars yet, so add only what you want to keep in dollars.
Can I verify with my passport instead of an HKID?
Yes. In Hong Kong, the one-time check takes a passport, a driver’s licence or a national ID, so a Hong Kong identity card isn’t the only option.
Can family abroad send me money?
Yes. They send USDC or USDT to your @handle, and it lands in your own wallet. You can hold it or send it on, but you can’t cash it out to Hong Kong dollars yet, so keep your usual route for money you need in Hong Kong dollars.
